My StudyBass

In this video study tip I show you what I call the Imaginary String Technique. It's a very simple way of expanding your knowledge of arpeggios, chords, scales, and other patterns on the fretboard.

If you've been playing for a while, this may seem obvious to you, but for many it's one of those little light bulb moments. Hopefully, it will help you find your way around the fretboard more, and further help you hear and understand where other bass players' note choices are coming from.

Keep learning!
