Boogie Woogie On Variation 2 Exercises
Bass Exercise #1: Quarter Note Boogie Woogie in D
This is the basic and most common version of the boogie-woogie bassline you'll hear and be expected to play. You should be able to play this line in all 12 keys, not just D!
Bass Exercise #2: Shuffle Boogie Woogie in G
This is the same bassline as in exercise 1 but in the key of G and with each note being played twice. These are shuffle eighth notes. If you're unclear on shuffle, visit the rhythm section of this site. Remember to alternate pluck consistently on this bassline.
