StudyBass Help FAQ
StudyBass is created and run all by one person. The more you can troubleshoot by reading this help FAQ before emailing me, the more lessons and tools I can add to the site. Thanks!
If you don’t see a solution to your problem in this FAQ, please report it so I can fix it.

I never got a confirmation email.
Check your spam/junk folder for the confirmation email.
If you didn't get an email, either the account was not created, the email failed to send, or your email provider blocked or throttled the email.
Try logging in. If you see an “Account Disabled” error, the account exists but is not confirmed. If the account exists and it's been more than an hour, request help through the feedback form. Include your email and username (NOT your password!). It's possible your email provider (@aol.com?) blocked or throttled the registration email. This may also mean the site can't reply to your same email. If you get no response from StudyBass, this is likely the case.
404 Error when clicking confirmation email link.
This often happens when you accidentally click the link twice. Your account is probably confirmed. Try viewing your account.
500 Error when clicking confirmation email link.
There is a bug affecting a handful of users. The code in the link sent to you is corrupted. Please request help through the feedback form.
I can’t log in.
Cookies are necessary to login. If you keep getting “Invalid username or password” and you know you are using the right username and password, you are probably blocking cookies for the website. To log in you must allow cookies or, at least, whitelist studybass.com.
If you see an “Invalid CSRF Token” error, try clearing your browser’s cache or restarting your browser.
If that’s doesn’t solve it, try resetting your password.
Diagrams Not Loading
How do I view left-handed diagrams?
Lessons don't use my favorite tuning.
Only the number of strings from this setting is applied to the lesson and exercise diagrams.
Showing fingerings in every possible tuning would be very difficult in terms of structuring the lessons and curricula.
I can’t see the diagram well. Can I change it?
Yes. You might try the other backgrounds (fret wood color) of Maple or Rosewood. In your account, go to “Change My Settings” and select a new color.
If the text is too big or too small, try using CTRL & + or CTRL & - to resize. I made the font bigger on purpose knowing many of you are sitting at a distance holding a bass in your hands.
