Bass Exercise #1: The Sense of Tonality

I purposely delayed the last note so you can feel the urge to resolve to the tonic of the key of C major. You instinctually know the next note is C because the few notes I played gave you a sense of key.

...two bits. This is a classic ending people use. The first time it does not resolve to the tonic missing the last note. The second time I resolved it to the tonic. Which one sounds finished?
